Durham County Council (DCC) has been granted funding from the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) North and North Cumbria for 9 months for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (1WTE) and an Academic Lead (0.1WTE), both posts are to be hosted by Durham University (DU). The funding is to enable continued development of research capability within DCC, implementing learning from Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funding and previous CRN contingency funding. These projects have increased understanding of priorities to facilitate a culture of research in DCC, and to grow collaboration with (DU) and the dedicated capacity is now required to implement change
