Notice Title
PRJ 627 Camden CCG C&YP Continuing Care Market Event
Notice Description
The purpose of the engagement event is to test provider interest, for the commissioners to discuss this future tender opportunity, and to obtain market feedback on the proposed service model and service specification. The proposed event will start with a discussion about the service's scope, service specification and financial envelope, and will be followed by an open discussion, where providers will be able to ask questions about the service. Children's continuing care services are for children and young people (CYP) whose needs are so complex that they cannot be met by the services that are routinely available from primary care, secondary care and other community services commissioned by the North London Partner CCGs and NHS England. These needs may be as a result of congenital conditions, long-term or life limiting or life-threatening conditions, disability, or the after effects of serious illness or injury. When CYP's needs cannot be met by universal and specialist services, NHS CC funding may be required to ensure the CYP's holistic health and wellbeing outcomes are met through bespoke packages of care from health; and where appropriate integrated with social care and education. The purpose therefore of continuing care funding is to specifically meet the identified health needs of the CYP. This is usually provided through bespoke packages of care in the CYP's home but the CCG and the service provider will work in partnership with education and social care to ensure continuity of care which may mean a jointly funded package is delivered across different settings. This support often provided jointly will help to maximise outcomes for this group of CYP as disabled children and their families face distinct and often challenging issues that require a range of dedicated and often specialist responses from public services. The needs of disabled children, young people and their families are unique to them, often complex, and will change over time. The challenge is to understand these needs and develop a system around them that is flexible enough to meet the needs of the person and their families. Additional information: The proposed event will start with a discussion about the service's scope, service specification and financial envelope, and will be followed by an open discussion, where providers will be able to ask questions about the service. Details of the event are as follows: * Venue: Camden Council, 5 Pancras Square, London N1C 4AG * Date: Tuesday 17 April * Start time: 12:30pm * End time: 2pm To register your interest please write to: nelcsu.clinical-procurement@nhs.net. with the following details: * Name of organisation * Name of attendee * Job title of attendee * Email address of attendee * Phone number of attendee Attendance is limited to a maximum of 3 people from each organisation at this stage.
