Job Title: Markets Assistant Pay rate: ?10.83-?12.69 Contract type: Agency Hours: 37 hours per week including Saturdays worked over 5 days. Shift working, and Sunday and public holiday working may be required. Location: Based in West Bromwich but working throughout the borough IR35: This role falls inside of IR35 Legislation Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: o To assist the Markets Manager in the day to day activities of the Markets Service. o The allocation of stalls, cash collection and accounting. o Liaison with market traders, customers and the public. o The daily management and enforcement of market regulations throughout the Borough. o Working in an office and outdoors on street markets. Essential requirements: o Must have good customer service skills, o Must have good cash handling and basic accounting skills. o Must be willing to spend a major part of the working day outdoors and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. o Must be willing and able to provide car/van to transport self and others to sites throughout the borough. Must be able to provide class 1 business use for approved vehicle. o Must be dependable, able to work under pressure and on own initiative, and must be assertive and able to enforce regulations fairly and consistently. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs.
