Notice Information
Notice Title
Flexible Working Ambassador Schools
Notice Description
This application process is to appoint the Flexible Working Ambassador Schools (FWAS). Flexible working policies can help to recruit, retain and motivate teachers and can play a central role in helping schools to deploy their staff effectively and efficiently. However, there are a number of practical challenges to address (e.g. managing staffing arrangements, timetabling and developing coherent whole-school policies and approaches). In the 2019 Recruitment and Retention strategy we committed to support headteachers to adapt to changing demands by helping to transform approaches to flexible working in schools. As part of that commitment we are introducing Flexible Working Ambassador Schools (FWAS). FWAS will support schools to offer more flexible working opportunities, which in turn can improve retention rates. Additional information: Application process 1. Register for the department's e-tendering system Jaggaer, which can be accessed via the Jaggaer online portal. Please note that responses can only be submitted in electronic form. A link can be found in the 'link' section of this notice. 3. Complete the application form and submit your application in Jaggaer by no later than 5pm on Monday 7th December . 4. We will assess your application against the criteria set out in the application guidance. 5. Applications from bidders that have submitted their application outside of the Jaggaer system, will not be assessed. Attachments: The following documents will be available to view in Jaggaer: - FWAS Specification and Guidance - FWAS Application Form - Annex 3 FWAS Cost Matrix - Annex 2 FWAS Risk Register - Annex 2 FWAS Project Plan Template Additional Information: The department reserves the right not to enter a formal procurement process and not to proceed with grant award. Accordingly, the department will not be liable for any bid cost, expenditure, work, or effort incurred by any school or other organisation based on this Prior Information Notice. This grant competition will be run via the department's e-tendering portal, Jaggaer. It is recommended that to avoid missing out, applicants access this system to register as soon as possible using the link provided. All information included in this notice is indicative and may be subject to change. Please note that the department is not bound to enter into any grant agreement. Funding for the FWAS may be subject to change at the department's absolute discretion. Eligibility: State funded schools in England are eligible to apply.
