Notice Title

Soft Market Test re Maintenance of the Rocker Linkages on the Tamar Bridge utilising in-line boring equipment

Notice Description

Cornwall Council, on behalf of Tamar Crossings, is undertaking a soft market assessment exercise to gain an understanding of the potential level of interest from suitably experienced contractors and what might be possible, practical and achievable, in a cost-effective manner, regarding future maintenance of the Rocker Linkages on the Tamar Bridge. This opportunity should be primarily of interest to companies who are experienced in utilising in-line boring machinery on in-situ steel structures, machinery and mechanical components.. It is intended that the responses supplied will assist in enabling Tamar Crossings to prepare an initial outline business case proposal and develop a more detailed Tender specification, ahead of a formal Procurement exercise, but currently this preliminary exercise implies no commercial commitment and this is not a formal tender document. Participation in this soft market assessment will not prejudice suppliers from participating in any future procurement. If you are wish to gauge your experience in this area of specialist service provision against the outline requirements and are interested in assisting with our initial assessment of the market and its capabilities, please refer to and complete the Soft Market Testing Questionnaire Document, which contains more technical information and background details etc.. The Soft Market testing Questionnaire can be found via the supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk website or on the Proactis E-Procurement Portal, under the project reference DN539996 with the title Soft Market Test re Maintenance of the Rocker Linkages on the Tamar Bridge utilising in-line boring equipment. Please submit any questions relating to this Soft Market Test via the Portal messaging system by 17:00 hours on 13/05/21 and final written responses should be submitted via the Portal by 17:00 hours on 20/05/21.
