Advert details below: Job title: Childcare Solicitor Hours: 37 hours Start date: ASAP End date: 31 December 2018 Rate of Pay: Band H (SCP44) PS20.71 per hour Contract type: Temporary for 3 months Job Description and Person Specification attached. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience specialising in and handling Public law child care mailers preferably from a local authority prospective. * The successful candidate must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of Public Law child care matters. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature. The candidate will need to be proactive, work welt under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact.
