The Council is considering commissioning a Dementia Gateway Service. Support types will be wide ranging in nature with a view to support users to remain independent for as long as it is safe and appropriate. The ambition is for the commissioned service to evolve during its contractual period to widen the support offer across the borough using a model that is self-sustainable. The overarching aim of the Dementia Gateway is to enable users and indeed potential users to have easy access to the range of support available across the borough through several touch points in a person centred way.
