Thamesdown Drive Resurfacing Tender, Swindon
Notice Description
Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of the provision of major resurfacing along Thamesdown Drive which has been identified as an area in North Swindon in need of essential highway maintenance (including the provision of associated pre-works, ironworks, loops cutting, road marking / lining and all necessary traffic management to complete the works). The resurfacing works (and associated pre-works) will include: * Carriageway resurfacing * Replacement of existing kerbing where necessary * Adjustment of existing ironwork where necessary * Replacement of road markings where necessary * Replacement of High Friction Surfacing where necessary * Replacement of Traffic Loops where necessary * Provision of suitable traffic management proposals and on site (including necessary associated advance signage and diversions) to accommodate the work within constraints outlined within the tender documentation as per agreements with SBC Streetworks. The Contractor is responsible for providing traffic management in order to undertake the works. Full details of the Works are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com Contract Period The contract will be initially for a period of 5 weeks (+2 mobilisation) commencing 12 March 2021 with the option to extend for a further 4 weeks if provisional works are awarded as per the contract terms and conditions. Estimated contract spend is between PS450,000 and PS550,000 across the initial 5 weeks contract term and between PS550,000 and PS600,000 across the potential total 9 week (+2 mobilisation) contract term. Tender Responses Tender Responses are required to be submitted no later than 29th January 2021, 1200 hrs noon UK Local time via ProContract tender portal - https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/ Tender Clarifications If you require any clarifications on the tender documents, please submit these in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal by 20th January 2021, 1200 hrs noon UK Local time. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically on the ProContract tender portal. Please note that this project has been advertised on Contracts Finder, however, Supplying the South West Portal, https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/ is the only portal that includes all the relevant documents required to respond to this opportunity, bearing Project Id: DN516962 No Tender submissions will be considered without completing the tender documents in full including attachments and returning them in alignment with the instructions within the tender documents.
