Notice Description
Westminster City Council (WCC), as lead Authority, intends to undertake a competitive tendering procurement on behalf of The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) for the provision of a Healthworks Service. Prior to commencing any formal public procurement process, RBKC wishes to engage with interested providers to ensure the expertise of such providers contribute to the service design principles; service core components; outcomes, and KPIs. The Healthworks Service will be aimed at reducing health inequalities within BME groups in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Healthworks will provide a programme of activities and promote health and wellbeing amongst BME communities in areas of deprivation. The service will deliver a range of educational and training groups as well as opportunities for residents to engage in various wellbeing activities. RBKC are seeking a provider with experience of working with various local BME groups to help promote health and wellbeing, and tackle social isolation specific to RBKC. The service will be designed to break down cultural, language, and literacy barriers in accessing the service whilst increasing the capacity of small organisations that may not normally receive statutory funding to deliver Public Health outcomes such as health promotion and preventing premature mortality. The provider will build awareness and understanding of health issues and risk factors within various BME groups that are present in RBKC. WCC invite providers with experience of delivery of these types of services to a supplier engagement event on 7th June 2019. To register your interest, please contact cthomas1@westminster.gov.uk by 28th May 2019 giving names of the delegate(s) attending. Places will be limited to a maximum 2 (two) persons per organisation.
