Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Transport (DfTc) in London has awarded a contract titled "P4104017 - Legal Advisers for the STARThree Framework" to Sharpe Pritchard LLP. This falls under the legal services category (CPV code: 79100000) and was procured through a selective call-off from the RM6179 Legal Services Panel framework agreement. Initially set for a two-year period starting on 28th July 2022 and ending on 27th July 2024, the contract includes options for extension by three additional one-year intervals, potentially totalising a period up to 2027. The total contract value is £300,000, with the procurement process being recently updated in July 2026.

This contract offers substantial business growth opportunities for large legal firms positioned to deliver advisory services within a competitive framework environment. With the contract's base in London, it provides strategic visibility and potential for ongoing collaboration with a major UK government department. While it is targeted towards larger scale entities rather than SMEs or voluntary organisations, the framework agreement offers a stable platform for expanding influence in governmental legal advisement spaces, suggesting long-term potential for those meeting the specifications of the tender criteria.
