Notice Description

Leeds City Council and Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the authorities) invite you to submit a competitive tender for Scrap Metal, Lead Acid Batteries and WEEE Collection, Transportation and Recycling. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ANTICIPATED TO BE AN INCOME GENERATING CONTRACT. THE ESTIMATED VALUE ON THIS ADVERT IS ANTICIPATED TO BE THE INCOME TO THE COUNCILS. There are eight opportunities available within this tender and tenderers are invited to bid against the following contracts: a) LOT 1A - LCC SCRAP METAL (skips including LDAs (large domestic appliances) and steel vehicle rims) b) LOT 1B - BMDC SCRAP METAL (skips including LDAs and vehicle rims, gas bottles in separate ad hoc collections. This contract will commence in July 2022) c) LOT 2A - LCC LEAD ACID BATTERIES (LAB) d) LOT 2B - BMDC LEAD ACID BATTERIES (LAB) e) LOT 3A - LCC VEHICLE RIMS (alloys only, not currently collected separately) f) LOT 3B - BMDC VEHICLE RIMS (alloys only, not currently collected separately) g) LOT 4A - LCC WEEE AND HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES (WEEE streams B [cooling equipment], C [display equipment], D [lamps] and E [small mixed WEEE]) collections from Household Waste Recycling Sites h) LOT 4B - BMDC WEEE AND HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES (WEEE streams B [cooling equipment], C [display equipment], D [lamps] and E [small mixed WEEE]) collections from Household Waste Recycling Sites and also directly from residents.
