Summary of the contracting process

The Doncaster Council is currently in the planning stage of a tender for public health services aimed at 5 to 19-year-olds, with a primary focus on integrating delivery models for related services, including school nursing and substance misuse programmes. This procurement, categorised under health and social work services, is set for a formal tender release in Autumn 2021, with anticipated contract commencement in August 2022. Interested parties are encouraged to engage in a soft marketing event scheduled for February 5, 2021, to discuss the proposed service models and details further. Notice Title

Public health services for 5 to 19 year olds

Notice Description

Currently in Doncaster, public health services for 5-19 year olds are delivered via Public Health Nursing service for 5-16+ year olds (School Nursing) and Project 3, an integrated substance misuse and sexual health service for young people age 11+. Both services will be tendered in Autumn 2021 for anticipated contract start dates August 2022. We are currently reviewing service provision in preparation for the tender. As part of this review, we would like to explore the potential to integrate the services into one delivery model, with one provider overseeing provision of public health services for 5-19 years olds across Doncaster. For the purposes of this exercise, we would like to give you a broad overview of what elements of service provision would be offered as part of an integrated delivery model and how the service might be structured. All this information can be found in the attached PowerPoint presentation. We have posed a series of questions at the end of the slide set we would like providers to consider and respond to. We will be holding a formal soft marketing event in February to discuss the model further and provide more details of the tender, please see attached flyer for more information. You will of course have the opportunity to raise your own questions but, to enable us to get the best out of the market day, we ask you to consider the information provided here in advance to help maximise the effectiveness of event. If you have any questions about the information provided here or the soft market test event please contact Carrie Wardle carrie.wardle@doncaster.gov.uk We would like to test a service delivery model that integrates our public health services for 5 to 19 year olds.
