Summary of the contracting process

Glasgow City Council is conducting a tender for the "Provision of a Fuel Management System and Fleet Fuel System Maintenance" under the open procurement method. This contract falls within the hardware installation services category and is based in Glasgow, UK. The contract is slated to run for two years, commencing in April 2021 and continuing until March 2023, with an option for two additional 12-month extensions. The tender submission deadline was recently extended to March 15, 2021. The successful bidder will not only secure a contract valued at £185,500 but will also benefit from engaging in additional maintenance services over the contract's duration. This project could also create avenues for local SMEs and specialised contractors to establish or expand their portfolio within public sector contracts.
