Weight Management Services - Obesity Framework
Notice Description
NHS England and Improvement intends to procure weight management services delivered through a Digital Weight Management Innovation Platform, to: 1) offer those with obesity plus diabetes and/or hypertension access to digital weight management services, to prevent the onset of health complications. Specific support will be available for men, BAME and more deprived communities; and 2) develop the evidence base around the effectiveness of digital weight management services, to inform long term commissioning decisions. The Platform will involve three intervention levels. Those at higher risk of not completing the programme will be triaged to a level 2/3 intervention. Level 1 - access to digital content; Level 2 - access to digital content, plus access to a minimum of 50 minutes of human coaching; and Level 3 - access to digital content, plus access to a minimum of 100 minutes of human coaching, and additional features such as supported on-boarding. Contracts will run until 31 March 2024.
