Summary of the contracting process

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), acting on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement North West, is in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Health and Justice Procurements for NHSE/I North West Health and Justice Team." This initiative focuses on health and social care services within secure children's homes, with a total estimated contract value of £1,263,000. The relevant Request for Information (RFI) documentation will be accessible from 4 March 2021, and interested providers must submit their responses by 12 noon on 26 March 2021. The provision of services will occur across multiple lots related to various facilities, including Marydale and Barton Moss, located in the UK.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those with experience in providing care within secure environments such as children's homes. Companies looking to engage in this sector could benefit from participating in the RFI process to contribute valuable insights that may shape future commissioning intentions. As the tender is aimed at diverse service provisions, both established providers and new entrants with innovative approaches to health and social care solutions would be well-positioned to compete for these contracts.
