Notice Description

The Council has a requirement for a Multi-lot Framework Agreement for the provision of Furniture Removals and Storage. Lot 1 - The requirement of relocation and delivery of furniture and equipment between properties Lot 2 - Legislative requirement of removal, transfer and storage of belongings, sometimes for an unspecified amount of time. The Council has yet to finalise the required contract term and the estimated value is based on a period of three years with options to extend for two further periods of up to 12 months each.

Project Based Work

Lot 1 (Project Based Work) - the contractor will be required to deliver relocated furniture between properties occupied by the Council and any partners such as the printer provider, National Health Service, Police Scotland and the Fire Service. This service will include advice and support as well as ensuring relocations are carried out efficiently and with minimum disruption or down time to business. The Contractor must be able to provide the service within the boundaries of the City of Edinburgh. Any properties that the Council owns outwith the City must be included.

Daily Removal and Storage

Lot 2 (Daily Removal and Storage) -Temporary Accommodation Services is a statutory service within the Council which provides accommodation and support for around 4000 homeless people per year. A significant number of those 4000 customers require assistance with the removal, transfer and storage of belongings. The contractor would be required to assist tenants with the removal, transfer and storage of belongings and sometimes for an unspecified amount of time.
