Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence is currently seeking tenders for the ARMOUR Centre Support Contract (Project ARGONAUT), located at Bovington and Lulworth in Dorset, UK. The procurement process is at the planning stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 29 April 2021. This contract, valued between £50 million and £90 million, aims to provide comprehensive training and support services within the education and training services industry, particularly in military contexts. Interested suppliers must navigate a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) process, with the authority intending to invite no more than four candidates to tender based on their financial and technical capabilities.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialising in training services, particularly in military and defence sectors. Businesses with expertise in instructional design, logistics for defence training operations, or the provision of technical maintenance services for armoured vehicles are particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, organisations capable of demonstrating robust economic standing and technical proficiency in military training solutions will find this a promising prospect for business growth over the anticipated seven-year contract period.
