Summary of the contracting process

Nottingham City Council was seeking to appoint a service provider for the "CPU2356 Mental Health ILSS Forensic Service", focused on delivering community support for individuals facing mental health challenges. This procurement process, initiated via an open tender, aimed to help service users develop strategies for independent living or to facilitate discharges from psychiatric wards. The tender was located in Nottingham, UK, within the health and social work services industry category. Unfortunately, the procurement process was cancelled, with no successful awards initiated.

This tender presented significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health services, particularly those able to offer community-based support interventions. Companies with expertise in delivering tailored support plans for enhancing mental well-being and independent living would have been well-positioned to compete in this procurement, which emphasised quality of service delivery over cost. Despite the cancellation, businesses in the health and social care sector can note the focus on innovative and supportive approaches, guiding future tender applications.
