The open procedure process is part of a framework agreement, and bids are open to new providers while previous successful providers are not required to rebid. Key deadlines include the tender closing on 8 April 2024, with the award period starting the same day. The framework has a contract period starting from 3 January 2022 to 2 January 2026 with the possibility of a two-year extension.

With an estimated value of £86.83 million, it allows a wide range of providers, including those newly registered without a CQC rating, to bid and participate. The framework requires providers to have a Good CQC rating and a local presence within 25 miles of the Civic Offices, ensuring added opportunities for local businesses.
