Summary of the contracting process

The West Midlands Combined Authority is overseeing the procurement process for the "Travel Demand and Active Travel Framework," focusing on transport consultancy services based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The purchasing method employed is an open procedure, with the framework designed to support various local authorities and organisations across the UK. The process is at the award stage, having reached completion as of 20 April 2021. This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in transport consultancy, behavioural change projects, cycle training, and event services. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and larger firms that specialise in sustainable transport solutions, stakeholder engagement, and event management will find the framework particularly beneficial. Given its accessibility to private entities outside of public procurement regulations, this framework opens up avenues for innovative solutions and collaboration across various sectors aiming to enhance travel and transport strategies across multiple regions in the UK.
