Summary of the contracting process

The North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) has updated the Framework Agreement NEPO411 for Furniture, providing a multi-supplier, multi-lot solution for its supply, delivery, and installation across various public-sector settings. The procurement process, led by The Association of North East Councils Limited, covers the North East region of the UK and involves an open procedure. Initially set for 48 months starting 1st September 2021, the contract has been extended to 31st August 2026. The procurement category includes goods, specifically furniture and furnishings, with a CPV classification of 39000000. Relevant stages covered include tendering and awarding, as shown in updates from 2021 through 2025.

This procurement framework offers substantial growth opportunities for a wide range of businesses, particularly those specialising in office, educational, library, and residential furniture. With potential extension across the UK due to NEPO's expansive member network, businesses capable of meeting high-quality specifications and competitive pricing will find this framework advantageous. The agreement accommodates large scale turnovers as it includes high-value contracts like those awarded to suppliers such as Levant Office Interiors Limited. Companies providing comprehensive and diverse furniture solutions will be well-positioned to benefit from this ongoing and varied procurement framework.
