Notice Description
* Solid Waste Remediation NIE Networks' Environmental Management System (EMS) requires reactive call-out services to any instance of environmental damage in a manner that complies fully with legislative requirements, best practice techniques and ensures NIE Networks customer / stakeholder satisfaction. For example this could involve control and remediation of land or water pollution following oil spills caused by network faults, vehicle faults or vandalism. These can occur in NIE Networks' depots or substations, public carriageways and footpaths or on private lands e.g. agricultural, commercial or domestic properties * Liquid Waste Remediation / Cleaning NIE Networks require contaminated fluid management services on a periodic / ad-hoc basis. This includes the need to empty / maintain NIE Networks oil interceptors / bunds at several locations across Northern Ireland, occasional removal of oil contaminated water from substation cable basements / bunds and removal of oil contaminated water from carriageway / footpath excavations during certain emergency underground cable repairs. Additionally, cleaning work may be required to be completed after removal of oil contaminated water in any of the above situations or in other instances as directed by NIE Networks.
