Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is currently managing a tender process titled "SPS 2298 - Provision of Adults & Children including Learning Disability, Home Care, Extra Care & Related Services Framework Agreement," under the health and social work services industry category. This procurement, valued at £180 million, is in the active stage, with the tender period having been extended to 23rd July 2021. The process employs a restricted procedure to select a range of providers capable of delivering domiciliary homecare services across various neighbourhoods within the borough. Providers are expected to register on the Proactis e-Tendering Suite to participate in the bidding process and submit their proposals electronically.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses in the homecare sector, particularly those experienced in delivering services to adults and children with learning disabilities, as well as the elderly. Providers specialising in domiciliary care and those interested in working collaboratively with local authorities to enhance service delivery models will find this procurement particularly advantageous. The call-off terms last for a minimum of four years, with potential extensions, making it a stable opportunity for long-term business engagements. Businesses committed to quality care and social value are encouraged to apply, given the emphasis on improved pay and conditions for care staff as part of the procurement criteria.
