Warehousing, Distribution, Final Mile & Asset Tracking Services Market Engagement
Notice Description
Southern Water are looking to transform their logistics capabilities to optimise the handling and distribution of equipment and materials to and from engineers. We intend to deploy new networks, operations and technology within warehousing, distribution and final mile services. The aim is to improve SLA performance, enhance materials control and visibility and ultimately reduce costs. We also are looking to future proof any solutions by leveraging technology to maximise efficiency. We are looking for partners that directly manage operations and/or technology and will support Southern Water as a trusted supplier. We are interested in suppliers that have clear evidenced experience managing logistics within field environments and preferably within utility/water sectors. We are seeking to gauge interest and advice from solution providers on the most effective approach to way this might be achieved and a partner to co-create the final design of the end solution. If you provide warehousing & storage services for engineering or utilities sector businesses please complete Questionnaire 1. If you provide HGV distribution and transport services to transport engineering materials and maintained assets (e.g. pumps) please complete Questionnaire 2. If you provide final mile services to support engineers collecting and returning equipment securely please complete Questionnaire 3. If you provide technology solutions to support tagging and tracking of equipment and assets in the field please complete Questionnaire 4. Southern Water are looking to the market place to provide as much information as possible to help us shape our project and any future tenders that may arise following this exercise. The questionnaires are targeted to what we believe to be the different market elements required to successfully deliver this project. Please complete any or all questionnaires relevant to your organisation and respond via Bravo by 12:00 on the 30th June 2021. Please limit the response length of each question to 250 words. Additional materials may be submitted as appendices and will be reviewed in context to the direct question responses.
