Notice Description
The Contracting Authority appointed contractors to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes throughout the county of Northumberland: * Snow ploughing; * Snow blowing; * Some precautionary gritting. In addition to specified routes, services may also include snow clearance and treatment of rural roads, housing estate roads, car parks, leisure centres, public buildings etc. The services are split across 45 individual Lots based on geographical area and are across three operational areas of the county.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The Council is seeking to appoint contractors to provide Winter Maintenance Services throughout the county of Northumberland. The services required under the contract will include snow ploughing, snow blowing and gritting of various specified routes throughout Northumberland. The services required are currently split across 44 individual Lots based on geographical area.
Renewal: It is proposed that any resulting contract will be for an initial period of 48 months, commencing 1st November 2021, with options to extend for up to a further 3 x 24 months. As a result the anticipated earliest date for renewal will be 2025.
