Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for hard facilities management services is being conducted by The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, aimed at delivering maintenance services across 3,514 dwellings located in 13 retirement villages and three housing schemes primarily in the West and East Midlands. The contracting authority seeks to appoint contractors through a selective procurement method, with the initial contract period lasting 60 months, commencing on or about 1st April 2022, and an option to extend for an additional five years. The closing deadline for submitting completed selection questionnaires is set for 18th August 2021 at 15:00.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in building and facilities management services, particularly those offering maintenance, emergency response, and inspection services. Companies with a proven track record in delivering high-quality services and a commitment to sustainability would be well-suited to compete. The focus on creating strong sustainable communities means that successful bidders will likely play a crucial role in enhancing service quality for residents, thus opening avenues for long-term partnerships and contracts with the contracting authority.
