Provision of a Healthy Child Programme 0-19 for London Borough of Redbridge
Notice Description
The Healthy Child Programme (HCP) provides an integrated Health Visiting, Family Nurse Partnership and School Nursing Service and deliver a full Healthy Child Programme 0-19 years with a focus on working across services and organisational boundaries for babies, children, young people aged 0-19 and their families to improve public health outcomes. The HCP is a prevention and early intervention programme based on a model of "progressive universalism". All families are offered a number of standard services (universal) Additional services are available to those who need them or are identified as being at risk. Local Authorities have mandated responsibilities under the Health and Social Care Act 2012 to ensure the delivery of universal and targeted Health Visiting and School Nursing Services. Clinically governed provision for the delivery of these services must be identified and commissioned by local authorities.

The Healthy Child Programme (HCP) provides an integrated Health Visiting, Family Nurse Partnership and School Nursing Service and deliver a full Healthy Child Programme 0-19 years with a focus on working across services and organisational boundaries for babies, children, young people aged 0-19 and their families to improve public health outcomes. The HCP is a prevention and early intervention programme based on a model of "progressive universalism". All families are offered a number of standard services (universal) Additional services are available to those who need them or are identified as being at risk. Local Authorities have mandated responsibilities under the Health and Social Care Act 2012 to ensure the delivery of universal and targeted Health Visiting and School Nursing Services. Clinically governed provision for the delivery of these services must be identified and commissioned by local authorities.
Renewal: At the sole discretion of the Authority and subject to satisfactory performance of the Provider, the Contract Period may be extended in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate up to a maximum twenty-four (24) months, providing a possible total contract Period to midnight on 30th September 2027.
