Summary of the contracting process

The British Council is initiating a planned procurement process for the "UK_2021_EEL_PIN_2022 Global Evaluation Framework," which falls under the category of research and development consultancy services. This framework is set to replace the existing Global Evaluation Frameworks from 2018 and 2019, expiring in 2022. The procurement, valued at £2 million, will be conducted globally, with services required to support independent evaluations, monitoring, advisory support, training, and quality assurance. Key dates include a market engagement event scheduled for 3 September 2021, and suppliers interested in this opportunity should express their interest and potentially bid by registering on the specified portal by 27 August 2021.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for consultancy firms specialising in monitoring and evaluation services, particularly those offering expertise in thematic areas outlined by the British Council, such as education, digital programming, and equality and diversity. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and non-UK-based suppliers are particularly encouraged to participate, as joining this framework would allow successful bidders to compete for various evaluation consultancy projects across the British Council's global operations, with potential extensions running through to 2026.
