Summary of the contracting process

The NHS London Procurement Partnership is currently conducting a tender process for the "Provision of Language Services," primarily focused on interpretation services in the healthcare sector. This initiative aims to extend its existing Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) by an additional year, with the new end date set for 26 August 2022. The procurement is in the active stage, having been published on 22 July 2021. The DPS allows public sector organisations across England to access a range of language services, including face-to-face spoken and non-spoken interpretation, as well as telephone, video interpretation, and written translation services. This procurement process uses a selective method and is organised under a restricted procedure to ensure that only qualified suppliers can participate.

This tender represents significant business opportunities for companies specialising in language services, particularly those capable of providing a diverse range of services across various regions in the UK. Businesses engaged in spoken and non-spoken interpretation, as well as translation and transcription services, would be particularly well-suited to apply. The flexible structure of the DPS enables organisations to compete for specific lots based on their capabilities and regional expertise, fostering an environment conducive to growth for language service providers looking to engage with various public sector clients within the NHS framework.
