In our bid we indicated we would spend a sizable proportion of this funding on the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector (VCFSE), although the exact proportions varies across each locality area. We are keen that this funding is used in such a way that complements existing third sector services; rather than duplicating or replacing existing provision. The aim of the programme is to develop a new population- based model for mental health care in the community. This new model of care will redesign and reorganise the existing community mental health resource to form new community mental health hubs each of which will be aligned to the local GP Primary Care Networks (populations of 30,000- 50,000). The community mental health hubs will have blended teams of health, social care and VCFSE staff; working together, and with local communities, to improve mental and physical health.
