Fisheries Industry Science Partnerships (FISP) is a new government scheme being run by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which will fund scientific research projects that involve partnerships between the UK seafood industry and research institutes. It is part of the Science and Innovation pillar of the PS100 million UK Seafood Fund.

Fisheries Industry Science Partnerships (FISP) is a new government scheme being run by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which will fund scientific research projects that involve partnerships between the UK seafood industry and research institutes. It is part of the Science and Innovation pillar of the PS100 million UK Seafood Fund. Across financial years 21/22, 22/23 and 23/24, we intend to provide around PS10 million funding through FISP. Up to PS300,000 is available for each research project with a maximum project duration of two years. Grants of up to PS20,000 are also available to support the development of research proposals which could be used as the basis for bids for future rounds of FISP contracts,. FISP is currently undergoing an early market engagement phase before the scheme opens for applications. This is an opportunity for you to find out more about the scheme and provide feedback. This early market engagement phase is open until 8th October. We will also host a MS Teams event between 14:30 and 16:00 on 23rd September. This event will set out information on FISP and the application process. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask relevant questions, submitted through the messaging section of this Bravo PQQ, before the event. Questions will be addressed at the event. To get access details for this event please open the response form (Q) of this PQQ. Please answer the questions located in the response form (Q) so that we can gauge interest in the event. Also included in the response form (Q) is a questionnaire, designed to enable you to provide feedback on the draft documentation (scheme specification and high level evaluation criteria) shared within the form. Please complete the questionnaire as soon as possible AFTER submitting your on-line response. Last responses to this questionnaire are due on 27th September.
