The overall aim of the service is to prevent and reduce the impact of mental health conditions on children and young people. The service was procured through the light touch regime using a process similar to the open procedure. The contract is for a period of 2 + 1 years. The Children and Young People's Mental Health Peer Mentoring and Peer Education services was jointly procured under one contract, the cost which for this period PS199,389 per year; equating to PS598,167 for the three years (including the one year extension) assuming no inflationary uplifts.
