Summary of the contracting process

The Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is currently conducting an open tender titled "Sealing Systems," focused on the provision of technical analysis and consultancy services. The project aims to develop scientifically grounded sealing systems for disposal vaults and accessways, addressing the safety requirements of the UK Geological Disposal Facility. The tender process is active, with a budget of £2,500,000 and an end date for submissions set for 4th November 2021. The procurement is classified under the main category of services, specifically technical analysis, and further details can be obtained through an electronic submission platform.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in engineering, environmental consultancy, and project management within the nuclear or waste management sectors. Companies with expertise in developing safety systems in geological environments or those that can propose innovative methods for sealing technologies would be well-positioned to compete. The RWM is open to suggestions for optional additional tasks, which could provide further avenues for collaboration and growth for successful bidders.
