Summary of the contracting process

Scotland Excel is conducting a public procurement process for a framework titled "Supply and Delivery of Coated, Uncoated & Recycled Roadstone and Ready Mixed Concrete." This procurement, classified under the goods category in the roadstone industry, is taking place in Scotland. The procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 22 June 2022. The maximum estimated value of this framework agreement is £100 million, covering various lots aimed at providing local councils and associated bodies with necessary road construction materials. The procurement is being managed through an open procedure via the PCS-Tender platform.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for suppliers in the construction materials sector, particularly those able to deliver roadstone and concrete products. Businesses that specialise in manufacturing or supplying coated and uncoated roadstone, recycled roadstone, and ready-mixed concrete will find this opportunity highly relevant. Additionally, companies ready to engage in electronic ordering and invoicing, and those that can meet the community benefit requirements outlined in the tender, are especially well-positioned to compete effectively.
