Summary of the contracting process

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is initiating a planned procurement process for an all-inclusive Employee Assistance Programme & Consular Well-Being. This tender falls under the health and social work services category, with a focus on providing essential support to employees posted overseas and those based in the UK. Supplier engagement events will be hosted online on the 25th and 28th of October, 2021, where potential suppliers can participate in one-on-one meetings to understand the requirements better. Interested suppliers are required to register by 5 PM on the 22nd of October and are encouraged to use the Jaggaer e-procurement portal for this process.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in Employee Assistance Programmes, particularly those with capabilities to operate both in the UK and internationally, given the global presence of the FCDO. Companies with a robust network of local affiliates who can provide confidential counselling and support services are ideally suited to compete. The contract will not only help improve the wellbeing of consular staff but also allows successful bidders to expand their portfolio in the public sector, enhancing their profile and service outreach.
