Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Hackney is initiating a public procurement process for a service titled "Sexual Health Resource Distribution for Targeted High Risk Communities." This service, classified under miscellaneous health services, aims to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for residents aged 16 and over from Black and other ethnic minority communities in the City of London and Hackney. The tender is expected to go live at the end of December 2021, with an information session scheduled for 7 January 2022, providing potential bidders with insights into the tender process and expectations of the Public Health team. The project has an estimated value of £400,000 and includes an initial contract period of three years, with the possibility of two annual extensions.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the health service industry, particularly those experienced in community health services, sexual health initiatives, and public health education. Companies that focus on delivering health outcomes for minority communities, and those capable of forming consortiums to enhance service delivery, are particularly well-suited to competition. Successful bidders will need to demonstrate collaboration with existing local services to improve health outcomes while avoiding duplication of efforts within the community.
