Summary of the contracting process

The Welsh Government has awarded a contract to Ferret Information Systems Limited for the "Income Maximisation Awareness Raising Programme for Front Line Workers". This contract, valued at £284,450, requires the supplier to produce bilingual income maximisation information packs and deliver online bilingual awareness-raising education sessions for front-line workers supporting low-income households across Wales. The procurement stage is complete, and the contract was signed on 11th February 2025. This initiative falls within the services industry category, specifically training programme services, and aims to enhance the knowledge of welfare benefits and financial support systems among front-line workers.

This tender presents significant business opportunities for companies specialising in educational and training services, financial consultancy services, and benefit services. Businesses capable of producing educational content, especially those with experience in bilingual materials and online training delivery, would find this tender particularly suitable. The emphasis on community benefits and the suitability for consortia bidding can also encourage SMEs and collaborative ventures to participate, leveraging their expertise to contribute to the social and economic objectives of the Welsh Government.

Income Maximisation Awareness Raising Programme for Front Line Workers

Notice Description

Contract to produce bilingual income maximisation information packs and design and deliver online bilingual income maximisation awareness-raising education sessions accessible to all front-line workers who support low income households, to raise their awareness of the welfare benefit/wider financial support systems and their ability to guide and offer practical support to households to claim additional income.

Lot 1

The client aims to award a 12 month contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months, to produce bilingual income maximisation information packs and design and deliver online bilingual income maximisation awareness-raising education sessions accessible to all front-line workers who support low income households, to raise their awareness of the welfare benefit/wider financial support systems and their ability to guide and offer practical support to households to claim additional income. Renewal: Option to extend the contract for up to a further 12 month period.
