NMISS Emergency Placements Feb 2022
Notice Description
This notice is for the purpose of identifying capacity within Independent and Non-Maintained Special Schools for children with a variety of additional needs. Capacity will be required in February 2022. There will not be a formal tender process for this, the Council is seeking knowledge on current school capacity or potential capacity with the aim of consolidating this information. Placements will be made through the currently established SEN process. If you have, or are likely to have capacity available in February 2022 please complete the attached information form to confirm and upload through the business portal as a message.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Day special school placements are required within the county of Kent, or within schools close enough to make day placements viable. This is likely to be for children requiring a Year R placement, or a Year 7 placement. Further information as to need type and pupil demographics will be made available at the earliest opportunity and circulated through the messaging facility on the Kent Business Portal accessible through the above mentioned address. Interested schools should complete the form available through the portal and message back identifying what capacity is, or will be, available in February 2022, and what primary need type the school supports. This is not a formal tender opportunity, the Authority is endeavouring to identify additional capacity available within the market and potential additional capacity available for February 2022. Interested schools should express interest through the Kent Business Portal, complete the attached Capacity spreadsheet and return through the portal. Placements will be made through KCC SEN Teams as they are at present.
