The London Borough of Islington is planning a public procurement process for a contract titled "Prior information notice (PIN) 2122-0220 Out-of-hours drainage works, in-hours backup support for repairs team and all drainage excavation repairs (including collapsed pipes)." This contract falls under the construction work industry category and aims to secure a supplier for out-of-hours drainage repairs alongside in-hours backup support for the local repairs team. The maximum intended duration for this contract is up to 108 months, which includes an initial term of 36 months, with additional extensions possible based on performance.

Companies that possess capabilities in drainage excavation and maintenance, as well as those offering advanced support and quick response time for urgent repair work, would be particularly well-suited to compete. Bidders should also be prepared to demonstrate their commitment to social value, as 20% of the award criteria will focus on this aspect, guided by the National TOMs methodology. Engaging with Islington Council's procurement process could open new avenues for growth and collaboration within the local authority's infrastructure maintenance framework.
