Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is planning a tender for the "Locking of Park Gates," aimed at securing maintenance services for designated park sites within the borough. The estimated value of the contract is approximately £300,000 over a period of three years with options for extensions. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a virtual supplier engagement event scheduled for 4th February 2022, where interested parties can learn more and offer feedback. Interested suppliers must confirm attendance by 2nd February 2022.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in parks maintenance, security services, and landscaping to engage in a long-term partnership with a local authority. Companies specialising in the locking and unlocking of park gates, as well as those offering reporting services for anti-social behaviour and crime, would be particularly well-suited to compete. The collaboration with multiple directorates within the Council emphasizes a broader scope for potential suppliers to enhance service delivery in line with the borough's strategic goals for open spaces.
