Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence is planning a procurement process titled "Safeguarding Children Overseas," focusing on welfare services for children and young people within the United Kingdom. As part of this planning stage, the authority has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gauge the market's capacity and capability. Interested providers are invited to engage in MS Teams sessions scheduled for the week commencing 7th February 2022 to discuss their proposed delivery models and pricing. The RFI does not constitute a formal expression of interest; however, it is anticipated that a Contract Notice will subsequently be issued to facilitate the next steps in the procurement process.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in child safeguarding and healthcare services. Companies that can provide 24/7 expert advice and clinical services related to child protection would be particularly well-suited to participate. Providers with experience in offering specialist paediatric advice, medical assessments, and safeguarding expertise are encouraged to respond, as the authority seeks to enhance its offshore child safeguarding arrangements. Engaging with the Ministry of Defence through this RFI allows businesses to position themselves favourably for future contract opportunities.
