Summary of the contracting process

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS), acting on behalf of the NHS Workforce Alliance, is planning a forthcoming procurement process for Non Clinical Staffing services, with an estimated contract value of £2.5 billion. This initiative, currently in the planning stage, aims to establish a collaborative framework to supply temporary and fixed-term staff across various public sector bodies in the UK. Market engagement sessions are scheduled for April and May 2022, with the Invitation to Tender (ITT) anticipated to be published around October or November 2022, leading to the new framework's launch in July 2023.

This procurement presents significant growth opportunities for businesses in recruitment and staffing sectors, particularly those capable of providing temporary and fixed-term staffing solutions. Companies specialising in areas such as administration, clerical, legal, IT, and healthcare staffing would be ideally positioned to compete. Participation will require bidders to be Cyber Essentials certified, which underscores the emphasis on cybersecurity within the procurement process, making this a crucial requirement for those aiming to supply to the government sector.
