Summary of the contracting process

The tender titled "Telecare and Telehealth Goods and Services" is currently in the planning stage, initiated by the Procurement for Housing (PfH) organisation, a central purchasing body based in Birchwood, Warrington, UK. This procurement process is focused on health and social work services, with a total estimated value of £90 million. The framework agreement aims to provide essential telecare and telehealth equipment and associated services. It is anticipated that the current framework, which includes three lots, will be finalised following market engagement, with the related contract notice forthcoming on 27 February 2023.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in the supply of telecare equipment, safety services, and related health solutions. Companies that manufacture or distribute health and safety consultancy services, telecommunications equipment, or monitoring services are particularly well-suited to compete. The establishment of a multiple supplier framework agreement is expected to broaden access for various organisations, including registered providers of social housing and local authorities, thus creating a competitive marketplace for innovative service providers in the telecare and telehealth sector.
