Notice Description

The ITT seeks individuals who are be able to demonstrate extensive subject matter experience in either healthcare or scrutiny/regulation of services (examples, although not an exhaustive list, of subjects matter experience we are looking for are adult, child and adolescent mental health, addictions, adult and child palliative care, surgery, aesthetics, neuro rehabilitation, occupational health, anaesthesia, pain management, public health / environmental health and safety). In addition, all healthcare professionals must be registered with a professional body and have a current licence to practice in the UK.

The ITT seeks individuals who are be able to demonstrate extensive subject matter experience in either healthcare or scrutiny/regulation of services (examples, although not an exhaustive list, of subjects matter experience we are looking for are adult, child and adolescent mental health, addictions, adult and child palliative care, surgery, aesthetics, neuro rehabilitation, occupational health, anaesthesia, pain management, public health / environmental health and safety). In addition, all healthcare professionals must be registered with a professional body and have a current licence to practice in the UK. All those applying are expected to explain how and where they see themselves adding value around the following areas: Providing clinical or subject matter expertise to the scrutiny, regulation and inspection of independent healthcare services in Scotland. Review, analyse and interpret highly complex information contained within self-assessment submission, supporting documentation and from a wide range of other sources, such as publicly available data or from other scrutiny bodies, where information may be conflicting in order to provide advice and guidance to healthcare providers on compliance with standards. Contribute to regulatory reports, within a short timescale, to ensure the findings of each regulatory activity are reported accurately and consistently. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the scrutiny programme is both relevant and accepted, and that resulting recommendations are implemented. Ensure inspections adhere to the requirements of Healthcare Improvement Scotland's patient focus and public involvement agenda, Fair for All and relevant legislation e.g. Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act, in order to promote and share understanding with key stakeholders.

Renewal: Option of 12 month extension
