Notice Description
Essex County Council is committed to providing high quality services to children and young people with SEND and their families that meet their individual and wider needs. Short Breaks Community Clubs and Activities (SBCCA) offer parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND) a break from their additional caring responsibilities, while ensuring children and young people have the opportunities develop, learn, socialise and interact with their peers.
Lot Information
Children with a learning disability and/or autism (under 8 years and 8-15 years)
The Council undertook a single stage open procurement process based on a weighting of 70% quality (of which 10% assessed Social Value, and 20% was based on evaluation by a parent carer panel) and 30% price to procure 12 contracts with 3 Lots commissioned across four Essex Quadrants (North, Mid, South & West). These contracts were for 3 years with an additional 2 year extension. o Lot One: Children with a learning disability and/or autism (under 8 years and 8-15 years) o Lot Two: Children with a physical or sensory impairment (under 8 years and 8-15 years) o Lot Three: An older adolescents' cohort (15-19 years)
