Summary of the contracting process

The NHS England is currently soliciting bids for a project titled "Reducing Violence Against Primary Care Staff" within the health and social work services industry. This tender is at the active stage and is based in the UK, specifically targeting services related to patient rehabilitation. Interested providers must submit their proposals by 25th August 2022, as the tender period is set to conclude on this date. The overall estimated contract value is approximately £180,000, intended for a pilot programme aimed at offering at least 1,000 rehabilitation training places from October 2022 to March 2023, with a potential extension depending on the review and available funding.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for growth for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those experienced in rehabilitation and training programmes. Providers that can cater to the needs of patients who have been placed in special allocation schemes, or who are at risk of being removed from medical services due to behavioural issues, would be well-suited to compete in this tender. The open procurement method employed allows for a broader range of qualified providers to participate, promoting health service delivery in primary care and potentially leading to longer-term contracts should the pilot be deemed successful.
