One hundred and ten Hamamatsu multianode H14220A photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) are required for new detectors on ISIS. These PMTs each have a green enhanced photocathode and 64 independent channels. They will be used as a crucial component in neutron sensitive scintillation detectors that have been developed at ISIS.

Procurement Information

The contract was awarded without prior publication due in accordance with PCR 2015 Regulation 32.(2) (b)The negotiated procedure without prior publication may be used for public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts in any of the following cases: (ii) competition is absent for technical reasons, (iii)the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights. The Supplier contracted with, have invested in multi anode PMT technology and own the IP on this therefore can fulfil the exact needs of this requirements.
