Compilation and Reporting of the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI) - Lot 1
The contract is delivery of the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI) and to generate high-quality and consistent greenhouse gas emissions for BEIS, Defra, ONS and DAs in order to meet international reporting requirements and provide scientific evidence for domestic mitigation policies. The NAEI contract will support the production of the UK's Greenhouse Gas Inventory (GHGI) and the Air Quality Pollutant Inventory (AQPI) respectively and is jointly funded by BEIS, Defra and the ONS.

"description": "The ad-hoc budget, as set out in the original contract at a value of PS250,000 per year, is to be increased by PS230,000 (total). The inclusion of the ad-hoc budget in the original contract was for the purpose of ongoing improvements to the inventory system and to service ad hoc queries and engagements. The potential need for flexibility and future variations in budget was accounted for in the original contract documents. In addition, due to EU Exit, the UK deliverables to the EU are no longer necessary and therefore the costs for these deliverables are needed in the contract. This has resulted in a reduction of PS52,438.36 in the budget. In light of these two modifications, the net change to the contract budget is an increase of PS178,561.64.",
