Accommodation based support service for women and children experiencing domestic violence
Notice Description
The London Borough of Redbridge ("the Authority") is seeking Tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations for the Provision of accommodation based support service for women and children experiencing domestic violence. The Contract shall commence on 1st April 2023 and, subject to satisfactory performance, shall continue for a period of three (3) years, terminating at midnight on 31st March 2026 ("the Contract Period"). At the sole discretion of the Authority and subject to the satisfactory performance of the Provider, the Contract Period may be extended in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate up to a maximum of 24 months providing a possible total Contract Period to midnight on 31st March 2028. Tender responses should be submitted via the portal by Midday (12 noon) Thursday 8th December 2022.

At the sole discretion of the Authority and subject to the satisfactory performance of the Provider, the Contract Period may be extended in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate up to a maximum of 24 months providing a possible total Contract Period to midnight on 31st March 2028. Violence and abuse of women and girls blights the lives of a significant proportion of our communities locally, nationally and internationally, as does violence and abuse against men. Not only are the survivor themselves seriously adversely affected but this can their children, extended family and friends and permeate our society. The primary aim of the Service is to * Provide emergency accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic violence. * Provide women a place of safety, security and stability and the time to make informed decisions about their future. * Provide emotional and practical support. * Enable women and children affected by domestic violence to rebuild their lives and make the transition to a settled home and to training or employment. Tender responses should be submitted via the portal by Midday (12 noon) Thursday 8th December 2022.
Renewal: At the sole discretion of the Authority and subject to satisfactory performance of the Provider, the Contract Period may be extended in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months, providing a possible total contract Period to midnight on 31st March 2028.

The contracting Authority will incorporate a minimum ten (10) day calendar day standstill period at the point of information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
