Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) is planning a tender named "Potential Impacts of Gamebird Release on Habitats and Invertebrates in Protected Sites". This procurement falls under the services category with a focus on environmental monitoring. The project involves studying various sites across England over two fieldwork seasons in 2023 and 2024. The study will investigate the effects of releasing gamebirds on habitats and invertebrate species in protected areas, such as SACs, SPAs, and SSSIs. Important dates include the ITT publication by 25th November 2022 and proposals due by 23rd December 2022. The project is expected to commence on 1st March 2023 with the final report due by the end of November 2024.
